Our Aikido Harmony Logo

The logo synergistically condenses quite a lot of symbolism relevant to aikido as well as giving us a logo that means something to the club, including:

the two figures make up a nice “S” for Synergy
the two figures are also in balance and at the centre of the logo in their dynamic sphere, but are also part of the whole nicely balanced logo
the two figures are in a handshake, suggesting peace and trust
the figures are also in harmony – two parts of the one, working together co-operatively, of blending movement… together. Very aiki.
In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang describes how apparently opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. (from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yin_and_yang)
there is physical technique being performed and aikido practitioners will naturally recognise cross-hand hold (katatekosadori)
on a more conceptual level, the two figures are also in a balanced vortex of energy

the colours we have chosen are not only traditional but also effectively tie in with our kids club “Aikido Kids Brisbane” logo colours
